Hi! I’m Liz,

I am an expressive portrait artist and I've always been fascinated by faces. My style is constantly evolving and has progressively become more self reflective - though various models I use, the artwork is a representation of my state of mind.

I prefer to select a photo reference that best conveys my emotion at that time, and create a piece spontaneously, with more emphasis on getting the emotive content than focusing on an accurate representation of the face.

Therefore, the portraits are mostly female using various mediums, with the faces often portrayed with marks that are raw, intuitive and imperfect and the face at times, mask-like - a shield presented to the world.

I’m putting together a course that opens up my creative process and shows you how to build your own expressive scribble-style portraits from scratch. If you want to be the first to know when I open the registrations, please join the waiting list.
